Gallery concept:
From the very beginning, the gallery has been dedicated to contemporary art with a focus on spatial content in drawing, painting, sculpture/object and photography - which led to the existing selection of artists [see ARTISTS] with an emphasis on sculptural / object-related design of such diverse materials as stone, wood, paper and leather. Of these, paper in all its forms is a focal point of the gallery.
In addition, some positions and projects that have escaped the art market are rediscovered and promoted by the gallery. During the festivals “GRUNDSTEIN” and “MUSAO ”* our showroom ULRIKE HROBSKY, 1160 Vienna, Grundsteingasse will be used in cooperation with the MASC Foundation and Richard & Roland Schütz !

External projects:
Artists working with and on paper were provided with a 300 m² exhibition space for large-scale paper sculptures by the Hrobsky Gallery's exhibition activities and curation at the Papiermachermuseum Steyrermühl (ALFA) for 12 years from 2007.
The exhibitions were documented in catalogs such as (“dimensionFRAGILE”, 2008 - comparison of Chinese and European paper sculpture) and detailed folders.

Promotion of young artists:
This artist base, which has grown over the years, includes established positions on the art market as well as young, up-and-coming talents; the latter were particularly promoted with the founding of the “EAP” - European Art Project, 2005 (www.european-art-project.com). - “EAP” was founded by the gallery owners Jeannette Schmid (†) CH), Doris Clerici (NL) and Ulrike Hrobsky/Jakob (A) and was awarded the prize of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce (WKO) for the best international cooperation in 2014!

* ... MUSAO (“Museum auf Abwegen Ottakring”) is a series of exhibitions organized by artists as part of the art project “Grundstein” in all exhibition spaces along Grundsteingasse > 16 district, “Brunnenviertel”.
